Tom Reel

Doris: Just checked out the website tonight. Please thank Harvey for me for the great photos. Hope we will all continue to keep in touch.
By the way, within the last two months, I have run into two Fairmont grads here in Atlanta (Cumming, GA) and they both graduated in 1979. In the first case, I was wearing my Dragons polo shirt (which I believe we all got at the 40 reunion (?). I wore it to a local high school game here (just for fun) and this guy stopped me to ask if it was the Fairmont in Dayton. Of course, I said yes and after that we had a great conversation. The other was a fellow I ran into at the local Chick-Fil-A. My wife was wearing a Wittenberg Sweatshirt and he asked where we were from. It was then we discovered our mutual connection with Fairmont. How cool...

Cheers,
Tom Reel

Hey Bill and Jerry...Played golf here last month with Roger Houck and his son (who lives here in ATL) Hope ya’all are doing great!

Tom -
I just found out my new physician here in Huntington, Indiana graduated from Fairmont too. Not sure of the date. It's a small world and getting smaller all the time.

Charnice Ooley Supper

What a wonderful time the 50th reunion was. This time, it seemed like more were there than ever before. I want to thank, again, the committee and the chairman, Bob Blank for all there time and effort. It can't be easy to pull this off but they did a fantastic job. What fun we all had renewing old acquaintances. I even contacted Susan Schmidt since she put her email address on the blog and we have written back and forth fast and furiously. I will put my email address on this blog if anyone wants to contact me also. What I did, so that Susan would know it was me, was to put my "maiden" name on the header so she would know it was someone she was familiar with. I have pictures that I would like to share with the blog but have not mastered that yet. Still working on the "techy" stuff. There are 6 of us "girls", for want of another word, that call ourselves the LaTeDa girls or more appropiately the DRAGGIN LADIES? We have traveled a lot together and had many a chatty slumber parties, lunches and dinners. TOO MUCH FUN...let me tell you. The Draggin Ladies consist of Pat Huntzinger Myers, Barb Laughlin Joly, Kay Watts, Probasco, Linda Horn Vikmanus, Judy Ward Sanders and me Charnice Ooley Supper. Some towns we can't go back to because we had way to much fun and aren't allowed back to....just kidding.Bob & I live in Mason, OH which is close to Kings Island. We have lived here for 36 years. Previously in Bellbrook, OH for 9 years and before that we moved back into Greenmount Village when he got out of the Army. We have 3 children. Pam is 45..loves in Oakwood and she and Dave have 2 boys. Nathan is 15 and Nick is 11 (going on 21). Rhonda is 43...married and lives in Milan, IND. close to Lawrenceburg, IND. She and Brian take in stray cats so that has become their family. Mike is 38 and just bought his first house in Dayton, OH. Both he and Pam work at NCR. Ironic how things happen. My dad worked at NCR, I worked there right out of High School and now two of my children work there...though there are few in any NCR buildings standing any longer including the auditorium from which we graduated....AH progress I guess. I worked as a school secretary herein Mason for 25 years and retired in 2003. Not sure how I ever worked...having way to much funAnyway hopefully we can get some emails floating around and keep in further touch. Thanks again for your help Doris and I hope this comes thru. Third time is a charm I guess.Take care all of you and DO KEEP IN TOUCH......Your class mate.....Charnice Ooley Supper

Susan (Schmidt) Lozano

Hi Doris,

Remember me? How wonderful that you have set up this web site for The Class of '58! It is especially nice for those of us who could not attend our 50th Reunion. This will be a great way to stay in touch. I hope that you have been able to get the word out so that everyone can participate. I haven't tried to set up a Blog yet, but will check that out. In the meantime, you are welcome to post this if you like.

Thanks to Harvey for taking all the fantastic pictures. I will be sure to download them and probably print them so I can share them with my husband while reminiscing!

It's great to remember the good times!

Sincerely,
Susan (Schmidt) Lozano

Dave Thompson

Hi, Doris

I'm sorry I won't be able to return to Dayton for the Reunion--wife, Pat, is suffering from severe pain following back and hip replacement surgeries and I just returned from visiting my Dad (almost 94) in the hospital in Louisville, KY. So, it's not a convenient time to travel to Dayton--I already passed this on to Bob Blank, who gave me the blog address.

I want to thank you for setting-up the blog page--I enjoyed looking at the rosters of fellow grads. You provided a great service, and so have those who have taken it upon themselves to track everyone and worked so hard to make the Reunion a reality.

Take care and have a great Reunion.

Class Member Address List

Attached is the mailing list for all classmates. If you think this would be worth putting on the blog, I think I will have you do it. I could not see how to enter.
This week, I will also send you a list of those persons attending the reunion.
Jim Schardt 937-603-7662

(Jim and classmates: Well, it's at the bottom of the blog - sort of. The way this blog sets things up, they are all centered, so you'll have to treat it as a scavenger-hunt and seek all information regarding the one you're looking for. In a few days, we'll post everyone who is going to attend the 50th Reunion. Maybe you can encourage an "old" friend to attend. Doris)

Here is the list of attendees as of last week.
Jim Schardt937-603-7662

(Jim, the list is below. It was copied and pasted as sent, so the activities that are being attended are listed there too. Hope everyone is understanding. My blogging skills are limited to what I "try". Doris)
